Joyce Palmer, from the Tutakaka coast where she lives with her family and takes her children to school by boat, has graced us with some funky new jewellery and we continue to source the most interesting art books we can find.

Len Castle Book
Lopdell House Gallery launched a new publication - Len Castle Making The Molecules Dance on 4 December 2008. This new book is described as a sister publication to Ron Sang's Montana Award winning publication Len Castle Potter. This 248 page hardback edition on Len Castle and his work includes 224 full colour photographs throughout.
"You would expect that after sixty years in the game he might be tempted to slow down and simply enjoy the knowledge of what he has achieved: quite simply the finest body of ceramics that this country has ever seen. But far from it. He continues to work as hard as he ever has and to produce pots as good as any in his long history, including some which are like nothing he has ever made before, such as the superb sulphurous bowl reproduced on the cover of this wonderful book, a work that was made just this year.
